Instructions
- Step 1: Drain the Tuna - Open the cans of tuna and drain them well, ensuring excess liquid is removed.
- Step 2: Mash the Avocado - In a mixing bowl, add the ripe avocado. Use a fork to mash it until it reaches your desired consistency—smooth or chunky, depending on your preference.
- Step 3: Combine Ingredients - Add the drained tuna to the mashed avocado. Then, pour in 1 to 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
- Step 4: Season - Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt into the bowl. Mix everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust the lemon juice and salt according to your preference.
- Step 5: Serve - Transfer the salad to a serving dish. Enjoy it on its own, or serve it on whole-grain bread, in lettuce wraps, or atop a fresh salad.
Notes
- To minimize browning, cover the salad tightly with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface.
- Add diced celery or red onion for extra crunch.
- Incorporate fresh herbs like cilantro or dill for added flavor.
