Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour may need an extra 1/4 cup
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract optional
  • Sprinkles optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Step 3: Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Step 4: If using, add the almond extract and mix until incorporated.
  5. Step 5: Portion out the dough using a scoop or spoon and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Step 6: If desired, add sprinkles on top of each dough ball before baking.
  7. Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Step 8: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
