Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz dried pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or any pasta of your choice)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste white pepper
  • 2.5 oz smoked salmon (trimmings packets work wonderfully)
  • 2 oz arugula or spinach

  • Colander
  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 14 oz dried pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. This usually takes about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, pour 1 cup of heavy cream into a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in 1 teaspoon of dried dill, and season with salt and white pepper to taste. Allow the cream to warm gently but do not let it boil.
  3. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta using a colander. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the creamy sauce, tossing to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Gently fold in the 2.5 oz of smoked salmon and 2 oz of arugula or spinach into the pasta. The heat from the pasta will slightly wilt the greens and warm the salmon, enhancing the flavors.
  5. Plate the pasta in bowls and garnish with additional dill or a sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper if desired. Your 5 Ingredient Smoked Salmon Pasta is ready to be enjoyed!
