Start by peeling your bananas and slicing them into rounds about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
In a non-stick frying pan, heat your choice of oil or butter over medium heat.
Once the oil or butter is hot, gently place the banana slices in the pan. Avoid overcrowding.
Cook the bananas for about 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Drizzle the maple syrup (or honey) over the bananas and stir gently to coat.
Remove from the pan and serve immediately while warm.
