Ingredients

For the Chicken:
  • 8 thighs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (fat trimmed)
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 scallion sliced for garnish (green only)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cooking Brush

Method

Directions:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, crushed garlic, Sriracha, and fresh grated ginger. Whisk everything together until well blended.
  2. Add the boneless chicken thighs to the bowl with the marinade. Make sure each thigh is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  3. While the chicken marinates, preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place the thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. If you have any remaining marinade, brush it on the chicken during the last few minutes of cooking. Once done, remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice and garnish with sliced scallions.

Notes

  • Trim excess fat from chicken thighs for optimal cooking.
  • Use pieces of similar size for even cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
