Ingredients

For the Salmon:
  • 4 filets salmon (6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice plus lemon wedges to serve
  • 1 lemon zest reserve to garnish
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Parsley for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cooking Spray
  • Spatula

Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  2. Step 2: Marinate the Salmon - Place the salmon filets in the bowl with the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Step 4: Arrange the Salmon - Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray (if desired). Place the salmon filets in the basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Step 5: Air Fry the Salmon - Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Step 6: Garnish and Serve - Remove from the air fryer, garnish with lemon zest and parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Ensure the dijon mustard is gluten-free for a gluten-free option.
  • Avocado oil can be used instead of olive oil for a different flavor.
  • Marinating overnight is possible, but limit it to 30 minutes for best texture.
