Banana Nutella Croissants

Decadent and easy to make, these Banana Nutella Croissants are perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients
  

For the Croissants:
  • 1 box frozen puff pastry thawed until softened but still cold
  • 3/4 cup Nutella or other hazelnut spread
  • 1 to 2 pieces bananas thinly sliced (about 36 slices)
  • 1 whole egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon water for egg wash

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry brush
  • Sharp knife or pizza cutter

Method
 

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into triangles.
  4. Step 4: Spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella on each triangle.
  5. Step 5: Layer thin banana slices on top of the Nutella.
  6. Step 6: Roll the pastry from the wide end to the point to form a crescent shape.
  7. Step 7: Apply the egg wash over the tops of the croissants.
  8. Step 8: Bake for about 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Step 9: Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure puff pastry is cold for maximum flakiness.
  • Leftover pastry can be frozen for later use.
  • Experiment with different fillings for variety!
