  • 8 ounces full-fat mascarpone cheese drain any excess water if needed
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese drain well for the best consistency
  • 1 cup powdered sugar sweetens the dip
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract adds warmth and depth of flavor
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract gives that classic cannoli flavor
  • 4 tablespoons mini chocolate chips for a delightful chocolatey touch

Method
 

  1. Make sure to drain the ricotta cheese well. If your mascarpone has excess water, drain it off too.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and ricotta cheese. Use an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cheese mixture, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and almond extract. Mix until well blended.
  5. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips using a spatula.
  6. For best results, cover the dip and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving dish and arrange your chosen dippers around it. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • Try adding orange zest or coconut extract for a twist!
  • This dip is naturally gluten-free; serve with gluten-free dippers.
