Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats For a hearty and chewy texture.
  • 1/3 cup Plain Greek yogurt Adds creaminess and protein.
  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened almond milk A dairy-free base that keeps the mixture light.
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds For added fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
  • 1/2 tablespoon Honey A touch of natural sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon Adds warmth and spice.
  • 1/4 cup Blueberries Fresh or frozen, for fruity goodness.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Granola For a crunchy topping.
  • 1 drizzle Honey Optional, for extra sweetness.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or container
  • Spoon

Method

  1. Start by collecting all the ingredients listed above. This will make the preparation process smooth and efficient.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/3 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/3 cup of plain Greek yogurt, and 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk. Stir until well combined.
  3. To the oat mixture, add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 1/2 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Gently fold in 1/4 cup of blueberries, being careful not to crush them. This will maintain their shape and provide bursts of flavor throughout your oats.
  5. Pour the mixture into a jar or container with a lid. Make sure it's sealed tightly to keep the oats fresh.
  6. Place your container in the refrigerator and let it chill overnight, or for at least 4 hours. This allows the oats to absorb the liquid and flavors.
  7. In the morning, give your oats a good stir. Top with 2-3 tablespoons of granola and, if desired, a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness. Enjoy your nutritious Blueberry and Granola Overnight Oats!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey based on your preference.
  • If you're using frozen blueberries, there's no need to thaw them; they will soften in the mixture.
  • For added texture, try using a mix of granola types.
  • For a creamier texture, increase the Greek yogurt to 1/2 cup.
