Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rolled oats regular or gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Ground flax optional
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Sea salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup Milk of choice almond, oat, coconut, or dairy
  • 1 tablespoon Cashew butter or almond butter
  • 2 teaspoons Maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Additions
  • 1 cup Fresh blueberries

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or container
  • Spoon

Method

  1. Begin by assembling all your ingredients. This ensures a smooth and efficient preparation process.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground flax, cinnamon, and a dash of sea salt. Stir well to ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Add the milk of choice, cashew butter, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is well combined and the nut butter is fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries to the mixture, being careful not to crush them too much. You want to keep some whole for that burst of flavor!
  5. Pour the mixture into a jar or airtight container. Make sure it has enough room to expand as the oats soak up the liquid.
  6. Place the jar in the refrigerator and let it sit overnight. This allows the oats to soften and the flavors to meld.
  7. In the morning, give your oats a good stir. If desired, top with additional blueberries, a drizzle of maple syrup, or a sprinkle of nuts before enjoying your delicious Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats!

Notes

  • Fresh blueberries are best, but frozen ones can work if you’re in a pinch—just be aware they may release more moisture.
  • For a sweeter taste, adjust the amount of maple syrup or honey according to your preference.
  • Always stir the oats before eating; this redistributes the flavors and ingredients that may have settled overnight.
  • Consider using a wide-mouth jar for easier mixing and eating.
