  • 1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (Best Foods or Hellman's)
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 2 cups freshly shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). A hot oven is essential for achieving that crispy crust while melting the cheese to perfection.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Cheesy Mixture
    In your mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, dried minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, chopped parsley, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Step 3: Add the Cheeses
    Fold in the freshly shredded sharp Cheddar and mozzarella cheeses to the mixture. Make sure every bit of cheese is coated with the buttery goodness.
