Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1/2 banana banana Adds natural sweetness and creaminess.
  • scant 1/2 cup frozen cherries Packed with antioxidants and a vibrant color.
  • scant 1/2 cup frozen blueberries Adds a burst of flavor along with nutrients.
  • 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt For protein and a creamy texture.
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk Creamy base for blending.
  • 1 cup baby spinach A nutrient powerhouse that blends seamlessly.
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter For healthy fats and a nutty flavor.

Equipment

  • High-Speed Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Tall glass or mason jar

Method

Instructions
  1. Start by assembling all the ingredients. It’s easier to blend when everything is in reach!
  2. Place the baby spinach at the bottom of the blender. This helps with blending since spinach can get caught in the blades.
  3. Next, add the frozen cherries and blueberries. Their coldness will help make the smoothie refreshingly chilled.
  4. Break the banana into smaller pieces and add it to the blender. The banana’s natural sweetness will balance the tartness of the cherries.
  5. Add the nonfat Greek yogurt for a creamy texture and protein boost.
  6. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Adjust the amount based on how thick you prefer your smoothie.
  7. Spoon in the almond butter for a delicious nutty flavor and healthy fats.
  8. Put the lid on your blender and blend on high until smooth. Stop to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  9. Give your smoothie a taste. If you want it sweeter, consider adding a touch of honey or maple syrup.
  10. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar, and enjoy immediately! You can also top it with a sprinkle of granola or sliced almonds for added texture.

Notes

  • Pre-portion the ingredients into freezer bags for quick access.
  • The smoothie is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Consider making a larger batch to share or to enjoy later in the week.
