Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate cake sprinkles
Dippers
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 pretzels
  • 1 graham crackers

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • Serving Bowl

Method

  1. Start by ensuring that your cream cheese is at room temperature. This will make it easier to blend smoothly with the other ingredients.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the room temperature cream cheese and sour cream. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture until it’s creamy and well combined.
  3. Next, gradually add the chocolate cake mix and powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture. Mix on low speed until combined, then increase the speed until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  4. Once the mixture is smooth, add the vanilla extract. This will enhance the flavor and add a lovely aroma to your dip.
  5. Using a spatula, gently fold in the chocolate cake sprinkles. This adds a fun texture and a burst of chocolate flavor to your dip.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with strawberries, pretzels, and graham crackers for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure that your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for the best texture.
  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, consider adding mini chocolate chips to the mix.
  • Experiment with different flavored cake mixes, such as red velvet or funfetti, for a unique twist.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
