Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Step 3: In a large bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, and egg white. Whisk until smooth.
- Step 4: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Step 5: Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Step 6: Transfer the dough onto the baking sheet, shaping it into a log about 12 inches long and 3 inches wide.
- Step 7: Bake for 25-30 minutes or until firm. Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Step 8: Slice the log diagonally into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- Step 9: Arrange slices cut side down and bake for another 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Step 10: Allow to cool completely before serving or storing.
