Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats have absorbed the milk and reached your desired consistency.
Once your oatmeal is cooked, remove it from the heat. Stir in the peanut butter, sweetener of choice, and vanilla extract. If you prefer a creamier texture, add an additional splash of milk or creamer.
