Equipment

Method

Instructions
  1. Start by draining and rinsing the garbanzo beans under cold water. Set them aside.
  2. In your food processor, combine the rinsed garbanzo beans, fresh cilantro, jalapeño peppers, lime juice, tahini, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
  3. Start blending the mixture, and gradually add 1-3 tablespoons of aquafaba to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Taste your hummus and adjust flavors as needed, adding more lime juice or salt if desired.
  5. Transfer your hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, garnish with additional cilantro, and serve with pita chips or fresh veggies.

Notes

  • Store hummus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • For a creamier texture, adjust the amount of aquafaba.
  • This hummus freezes well; just leave some space in the container for expansion.
