Ingredients
  

For the Waffles:
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 8 tablespoons butter melted (1 stick)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Serving:
  • Maple syrup and butter or whipped cream and fresh fruit for serving

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Step 3: In another bowl, beat the eggs until light and frothy. Add in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Step 4: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Gently stir until just combined.
  5. Step 5: Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with melted butter. Pour the recommended amount of batter onto the hot iron and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately with your choice of toppings.

  • Use almond or soy milk for a dairy-free version.
