Ingredients

For the Donuts:
  • 16 ounces refrigerated biscuits (like Pillsbury)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (ground)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Cookie cutter
  • Cooling rack

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Biscuits
Start by preheating your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). While it’s heating up, take your refrigerated biscuits and gently flatten each one. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the center of each biscuit, creating a donut shape. Don’t forget to save those donut holes—they’re delicious too!
  2. Step 2: Mix Sugar and Cinnamon
In a mixing bowl, combine the white sugar and ground cinnamon. This mixture will provide that classic cinnamon-sugar coating that makes donuts irresistible.
  3. Step 3: Brush with Butter
Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Once melted, use a pastry brush to coat both sides of each donut with the butter.
  4. Step 4: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
Once the donuts are buttered, dip them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Step 5: Air Fry the Donuts
Place the coated donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook them for about 5-6 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  6. Step 6: Cool and Serve
Once cooked, carefully remove the donuts and place them on a cooling rack. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. They are best enjoyed warm!

Notes

  • For a seasonal twist, add vanilla extract or top with fresh fruits.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • These donuts can be frozen before cooking; air fry directly from frozen!
