  2. Step 2: Prepare the Marinade - In the same saucepan, combine soy sauce, white vinegar, water, minced garlic, whole black peppercorns, and bay leaves. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Step 3: Peel the Eggs - Once cooled, tap each egg on a hard surface, peel under running water, and set aside.
  4. Step 4: Simmer the Eggs - Add the peeled eggs to the marinade and simmer for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Step 5: Serve and Enjoy - Remove from heat and serve warm or at room temperature, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro.
