Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chocolate chips divided

Equipment

  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • 9x13-inch Baking Pan
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line your 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips, saving the remaining 1 cup for topping.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overbake; they should look slightly underbaked when you take them out.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
