Ingredients

For the Parfaits:
  • 5 Oreo cookies crushed
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 cup chocolate pudding store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • Chocolate sprinkles for garnish
  • Gummy worms optional for decoration

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Glasses or cups
  • Whisk

Method

Directions:
  1. Start by crushing the Oreos in your food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter. Stir until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
  2. Spoon a layer of the Oreo mixture into the bottom of your serving glasses, pressing down slightly to create a firm base. This will be the crunchy bottom layer of your parfaits.
  3. Next, add a generous layer of chocolate pudding on top of the Oreo crust. If you’re using store-bought pudding, simply scoop it in. For homemade pudding, ensure it’s cooled before layering.
  4. Now it’s time for the fluffy layer! Fold in the whipped cream into a separate bowl until it’s light and airy. Gently layer the whipped cream over the chocolate pudding, creating a beautiful contrast in textures.
  5. Repeat the layering process: another layer of the Oreo crust, followed by more chocolate pudding, and finish with another layer of whipped cream. You can adjust the layers based on the size of your glasses or cups.
  6. To add some festive flair, top your parfaits with chocolate sprinkles or shavings. For a spooky touch, place gummy worms or other themed candies on top.
  7. Chill the parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. When ready to serve, grab a spoon, and enjoy the rich, fudgy goodness of your Fudgy Tombstone Parfaits!

Notes

  • Experiment with different layers—add peanut butter or caramel sauce for added flavor.
