Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless ribeye steak Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup coconut aminos
  • 1 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar or fresh lime juice
  • 2 large cloves garlic Freshly minced
  • 1 tsp sriracha optional
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut aminos, avocado oil, rice vinegar or lime juice, minced garlic, sriracha (if using), toasted sesame oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a marinade. Add the cubed ribeye steak to the bowl, tossing to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a drizzle of avocado oil if needed, ensuring the surface is well-coated.
  3. Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Carefully place the steak cubes in the hot skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of around 130°F.
  4. Once cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs, sesame seeds, or additional lime wedges if desired. Enjoy your Garlic Steak Bites hot, either on their own or alongside your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the marinade with your favorite spices or sauces.
  • If you’re not a fan of spice, omit the sriracha for a milder flavor.
  • These steak bites can also be skewered and grilled for a fun summer twist!
  • Pair them with some rice or quinoa to soak up the delicious marinade.
