Method
 

  1. Start by collecting all your ingredients and measuring them out to ensure a smooth preparation process.
  2. In your blender or food processor, combine the 1 1/4 cups of low-fat cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of low-fat buttermilk. You can add more buttermilk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  3. Next, add in the garlic powder, salt, black pepper, sugar, dried dill, and grated onion. Blend until well combined and smooth.
  4. Once the base is smooth, add the chopped fresh parsley and chives. Pulse a few times until the herbs are roughly chopped and mixed into the dressing.
  5. Give your dressing a taste. If you want more tang, add a bit more buttermilk or a splash of vinegar. Adjust the seasonings to your liking.
  6. Transfer the dressing to a storage container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
