- In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries with the water. If using frozen blueberries, no need to thaw them first.
- Add the granulated sugar and lemon or orange juice to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
- While the blueberries are cooking, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Once the mixture reaches a boil, slowly add the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to a jar or container.
