Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, sesame oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Drizzle this mixture over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the wings in a single layer on the lined baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add the crushed red pepper flakes, ginger, and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the honey, Sriracha sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, lime juice, and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer, stirring until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Toss the baked wings in the honey garlic sauce until thoroughly coated.
- Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, ensure wings are patted dry before seasoning.
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by altering Sriracha and red pepper flakes.
- If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of water before serving.
