Instructions:
- Start by placing the 16 ounces of dry roasted unsalted peanuts into your food processor. If you prefer a chunkier texture, set aside a handful of peanuts to mix in later.
- Process the peanuts for about 1-2 minutes. The peanuts will initially turn into a powder, then gradually release their oils and become creamy. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of avocado oil at this stage for smoothness.
- Add 2 tablespoons of honey and 1-2 teaspoons of coarse sea salt to the blended peanuts. If you like it sweeter, feel free to add a bit more honey. Blend again until everything is well combined and reaches your desired consistency.
- Taste your peanut butter and adjust the sweetness or saltiness as preferred, blending again if necessary.
- Once you’re satisfied with the flavor and texture, transfer the Honey Sea Salt Peanut Butter into your storage jar. Seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Feel free to experiment with different types of sweeteners, such as maple syrup or agave nectar, if you prefer.
- If you have a nut allergy, consider using sunflower seeds instead of peanuts to create a similar spread.
- This recipe can easily be doubled or halved depending on your needs.
