Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 16 ounces dry roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1-2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons avocado oil or another neutral oil (optional)

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Storage jar

Method

Instructions:
  1. Start by placing the 16 ounces of dry roasted unsalted peanuts into your food processor. If you prefer a chunkier texture, set aside a handful of peanuts to mix in later.
  2. Process the peanuts for about 1-2 minutes. The peanuts will initially turn into a powder, then gradually release their oils and become creamy. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of avocado oil at this stage for smoothness.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and 1-2 teaspoons of coarse sea salt to the blended peanuts. If you like it sweeter, feel free to add a bit more honey. Blend again until everything is well combined and reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Taste your peanut butter and adjust the sweetness or saltiness as preferred, blending again if necessary.
  5. Once you’re satisfied with the flavor and texture, transfer the Honey Sea Salt Peanut Butter into your storage jar. Seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different types of sweeteners, such as maple syrup or agave nectar, if you prefer.
  • If you have a nut allergy, consider using sunflower seeds instead of peanuts to create a similar spread.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled or halved depending on your needs.
