Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts cooked, chopped & sprinkled with garlic salt
  • 1 container refrigerated Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 6 garlic cloves roasted & minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup skim or 1% milk
  • 1/4 cup half & half
  • 1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion chopped
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dried/ground thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Spatula
  • Knife and cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will ensure your pizza crust gets that perfect crispy finish.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the roasted and minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour while continuously whisking to form a roux. Cook for another minute until it’s slightly golden.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup of skim or 1% milk and 1/4 cup of half & half. Keep whisking until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in 1/4 cup of fresh grated parmesan cheese. Season with ground black pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, and garlic salt. Mix until well combined.
  6. On a baking sheet or pizza stone, roll out the refrigerated Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust according to package instructions. Pinch the edges to form a crust.
  7. Spread the creamy garlic white sauce evenly over the prepared pizza crust. Layer the chopped chicken breasts on top, followed by the chopped red onions. Sprinkle 3/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over everything.
  8. Place your assembled pizza in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy the delightful flavors of your homemade Roasted Garlic Chicken White Sauce Pizza!

Notes

  • For a quicker prep, use shredded rotisserie chicken instead of cooking chicken breasts.
  • Experiment with cheeses like gouda for a different flavor profile.
  • Add veggies like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
  • Store leftover pizza in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for best results.
