Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Start by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the Instant Pot. Make sure they are evenly distributed for even cooking.
  2. Step 2: Add the Broth and Seasonings - Pour in the 1.5 cups of chicken broth over the chicken. Next, sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and garlic powder over the top. Season with pepper to your liking.
  3. Step 3: Set the Instant Pot - Close the lid and set the valve to the sealing position. Select the manual or pressure cook setting and cook on high for 10 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Natural Release - Once the cooking time is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for about 5-10 minutes, then carefully switch the valve to venting to release any remaining steam.
  5. Step 5: Shred the Chicken - Open the lid and use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the pot. This allows the chicken to soak up all the delicious flavors.
  6. Step 6: Thicken the Gravy - In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the broth in the Instant Pot. Select the sauté function and let it cook for a few minutes until the gravy thickens.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy! - Spoon the chicken and gravy over rice, mashed potatoes, or biscuits. Enjoy the comforting flavors of your homemade Instant Pot Chicken and Gravy!
