Rinse the whole grain teff under cold water in a fine mesh strainer.
Add the rinsed teff, water, a pinch of salt, and plant milk to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon, and drizzle in the maple syrup. Stir again.
Seal the Instant Pot lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
After releasing the pressure, carefully open the Instant Pot and stir the porridge. Adjust consistency with more plant milk if needed.
Spoon the porridge into bowls and top with chopped pecans, chopped dates, and your choice of fruits.
