Directions: Jello Fruit Salad
- In a medium bowl, dissolve the 6 ounces of Strawberry Jell-O in 2 cups of boiling water. Use a whisk to mix until completely dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the grated apple, chopped bananas, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to prevent browning. Then, add the undrained crushed pineapple, sweetened strawberries, and whole cranberry sauce. Gently fold the fruits together until evenly mixed.
- Once the Jell-O mixture has cooled slightly, pour it into the bowl of fruit. Stir gently to combine, making sure not to mash the fruit.
- Transfer the Jello Fruit Salad to a refrigerator-safe container. Cover it with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- When you’re ready to serve, scoop the Jello Fruit Salad into bowls or onto plates. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with pecans or walnuts for an added crunch. Enjoy the delightful flavors and textures!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- Avoid freezing the salad, as it can change the texture of the fruit and Jell-O.
- Feel free to experiment with different flavors of Jell-O for unique combinations.
