- Step 1: Melt the ButterIn a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until it’s completely liquid. Be sure to stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- Step 2: Combine IngredientsOnce melted, remove the saucepan from heat and add the creamy peanut butter or almond butter, honey or maple syrup, pure vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Step 3: Add the NutsNext, fold in the chopped raw almonds or mixed nuts until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. If you're using chocolate chips, add them at this stage as well.
- Step 4: Form the CookiesUsing a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out the mixture onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Use your hands to shape them into rounds if desired.
- Step 5: Chill to SetRefrigerate the cookies for at least 30 minutes, or until they are firm and set. This will help them hold their shape when you enjoy them!
Notes
- Use natural nut butters for the healthiest option.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
