Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even baking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Italian-style bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir until well mixed.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Dip each piece into the melted butter or oil, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken breasts on one side of the pan.
- On the other side of the baking sheet, arrange the broccoli florets. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Place lemon slices over the chicken and broccoli for extra flavor while baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and broccoli is tender.
- Once done, take the pan out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnishing with any extra lemon zest if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Reheat in the oven or microwave until heated through.
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
