Ingredients

For the Parmesan Potatoes:
  • 1/2 pound baby potatoes small, tender potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife
  • Spatula

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure the potatoes roast perfectly.
  2. Step 2: Wash the baby potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Leave them whole or cut them in half for quicker cooking.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Step 4: Add the washed (and halved, if applicable) baby potatoes to the mixing bowl. Toss to coat.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and toss again to ensure they are evenly coated.
  6. Step 6: Spread the coated potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet, ensuring space between them.
  7. Step 7: Roast the potatoes in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Step 8: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm, sprinkled with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute butter with olive oil and use vegan Parmesan.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Experiment with herbs like rosemary or thyme for different flavors.
