Ingredients
  

For the Bars:
  • 1 package plain yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, peanut butter, and egg. Mix well, then add the yellow cake mix and stir until thick.
  3. Step 3: Grease your baking pan and spread half of the batter evenly in the bottom.
  4. Step 4: Mix chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, remaining butter, and vanilla in another bowl. Pour over the batter.
  5. Step 5: Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter on top of the chocolate layer.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Step 7: Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze for up to 3 months wrapped in plastic wrap.
  • Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds for a melty treat.
