Instructions:
- Start by crushing the 17 Oreos into fine crumbs. Combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add in the peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined and creamy.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture.
- In your trifle dish or glass cups, layer the Oreo crust, peanut butter mixture, and whipped cream. Repeat until ingredients are used up, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight. Garnish with mini peanut butter cups before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
- Do not overwhip the cream; soft peaks are ideal.
- Substitute Oreos with any chocolate sandwich cookies if desired.
