Ingredients

For the Salmon:
  • 4 fillets salmon (3-5 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil, or cooking spray
  • 4 oranges orange juice (juiced)
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2 teaspoons water

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Juicer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Brush or spray bottle

Method

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the freshly juiced orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and parsley. Whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix the corn starch and water to form a slurry. Add this mixture to the marinade and whisk again until smooth.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15-30 minutes for maximum flavor.
  4. While the salmon is marinating, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil, avocado oil, or cooking spray.
  6. Arrange the marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Feel free to substitute the honey with maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
  • Make sure to check the salmon regularly while cooking to avoid overcooking.
