These Skillet Brownies are SO EASY! A rich, fudgy treat baked right in a skillet, perfect for sharing with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 sticks unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 cup roughly chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. In your skillet, melt the chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in walnuts if using, then spread the batter evenly in the skillet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Refrigerate for up to a week for longer storage.
  • Freeze wrapped brownies for up to 3 months for a treat anytime!
