Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces prepared hummus store-bought or homemade
  • 16 ounces hot Pace Picante Sauce or your favorite hot salsa
  • 2 medium ripe avocados diced
  • Tortilla chips for dipping

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Fork or potato masher
  • Serving Platter

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Make sure your avocados are ripe and your hummus is ready to go.
  2. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash the avocados until smooth but still a bit chunky.
  3. Add the prepared hummus to the mashed avocado and gently fold them together until well combined.
  4. Pour in the hot Pace Picante Sauce and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Taste and adjust the dip if needed by adding more salsa or lime juice.
  6. Transfer the dip to your serving platter and surround it with tortilla chips. Garnish with additional diced avocado or cilantro.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to prevent browning.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored for up to 2 days in the fridge.
  • For a thicker dip, add more avocado or hummus if too runny.
