Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded (about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup salted butter at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the room-temperature butter and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Blend until creamy and well combined.
  3. Add the kosher salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, and all-purpose flour to the cheese mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Using a cookie cutter or a knife, cut the dough into desired shapes. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
