Preparation Steps:
- Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the maple syrup or honey, BBQ sauce, and water to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to bubble gently for about 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side, then gently flip the fillets over.
- Spoon some of the sauce over the top and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the salmon fillets to a serving platter, drizzle with the remaining sauce, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
- Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently to prevent drying out.
- For meal prep, cook a larger batch and store it for quick lunches.
