Baking Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Step 3: Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
- Step 4: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Step 5: Drop rounded balls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Step 6: Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly undercooked.
- Step 7: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Step 8: For frosting, mix powdered sugar, cream or milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Step 9: Frost cooled cookies and decorate as desired!
