Instructions:
- Step 1: Beat the Butter - Place the room temperature unsalted butter in your mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Step 2: Gradually Add Powdered Sugar - Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Step 3: Incorporate Vanilla and Salt - Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
- Step 4: Add Heavy Whipping Cream - Start with 3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, mixing on medium speed until light and airy. Add more cream if needed.
- Step 5: Final Whip - Give your frosting a final whip on high speed for about 1-2 minutes for a super fluffy and smooth texture.
Notes
- Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Bring refrigerated frosting to room temperature and re-whip before using.
- Freeze for up to three months, thawing overnight in the fridge before use.
